One place I love taking my son when we’re looking for something to do for the day is Balboa Park here in San Diego. They have play areas, picnic areas, the world famous San Diego Zoo, a train, carousel, and best of all museums! I love taking him to the museums to observe new things, become mentally stimulated by arts, cultures, and history, and to simply have fun for the day. But since it’s not always easy on the wallet to go to a museum I try and make it to the free admission days.

Every Tuesday of each month a different set of museums offer free admission and I’d thought I would share the list with you so you can try to go on the free days too! Also, if you’re new to San Diego or have just never been to Balboa Park and aren’t exactly sure how to navigate it, you can download a map of the entire park here.
