One thing you should know about us – You will always see us praying over our food at restaurants. That’s who we are.
We are not perfect. We are not righteous. We are not the ultimate examples of being Christlike.
But we strive to be better everyday. Examples of Jesus’ love and light as we meet people, volunteer, and simply enjoy life.
We are Gerardo, Laura, Leo and Gabriel, and we currently live in Hawaii. We have a pup named Ginny, too. Being together nearly 2 decades, we have had many ups and downs, life transitions, incredible moments, and learning opportunities. We believe God uses everything for His purpose and we try to learn and grow from every situation we are in. We are far from perfect, but we know we should always strive to be more Christlike in life.
Gerardo is retired from the U.S. Navy and is a TAMU Aggie ( Gig’em!). Hes always active, trying new endeavors as often as he can, and, he loves to eat. He’s always been called an adrenaline junkie, which he profusely denies (but it’s true!).
Laura has been a Jack-of-all-trades her entire adult life, from student, to military spouse, fitness instructor, childrens church director, fitness facility manager, to most importantly, a mother. She loves learning new skills, working out, and cooking.
Leo and Gabe- they are incredible boys. Ive been asked if they are twins since the day Gabe was born!
Leo is creative, can’t go anywhere without a book, enjoys a good hike, and values friendships immensely. He’s learning to code and is getting into track. He has severe food allergies which we have to navigate in all aspects of life. We’ve been blessed to have him graduate from OIT for a few of his allergens, and we hope to continue his food allergy healing in the future.
Gabriel would live outside if we let him, loves to help us cook and is genuinely one of the most happy and loving humans weve ever met. He is not afraid to show his warmth and affection with those he loves and he keeps us laughing at all times. Gerardo predicts Gabriel will be voted “class clown” in high school.
