In a time when so many people are split down the aisle, emotions are running high, and it seems like our country (and the world) is divided, it feels almost wrong to share exciting and happy news.
However, regardless of what’s been happening in the world, everyone’s life continues to move forward. Opportunities still arise, events still happen, and daily tasks must be taken care of.
2020 was an odd year, but also a year of many BIG changes for so many individuals and family’s – including us. I’m not going to lie, transitioning into our new opportunity still seems surreal and odd in a time of utter chaos. But I always tell my husband, this is the Sosa way. We never do things when they are the most easy or convenient to do so!
So here it is… our big news…
The Sosa’s are moving to Hawaii!
As many of you know, we currently live in Texas. Gerardo was attending college here after formerly being military. But in 2020, a job opportunity arose that he couldn’t say no to. We weighed the pros and cons, and ultimately decided that we want to be adventurous and give our boys the opportunity to experience different places, cultures, lifestyles, and people. We are a very outdoorsy and activity-driven family, so we know Hawaii will have so much to offer to our lifestyle habits! We also have friends who live on the island we are moving too, which is incredible to know we have a community to walk with right away.
We will be transitioning over there in late winter time frame. The boys are excited, but sad to leave their incredible school and amazing friends. They are still young though and make friends easily. A concept hard for them to understand, but Gerardo and I have complete faith that God will make their move there fun and full of life.
Moving from Texas to Hawaii has been an interesting experience thus far to say the least, but one that I know we will cherish forever. We cannot wait to get over there and begin our new adventure! We are also excited to share it with family and friends who have already expressed interest in coming for visits. We know that we can share in this opportunity with others and provide fun get-aways and vacations for many of our loved ones!
If you’ve ever been to Hawaii or lived there, I would love for you to share with me what your favorite spots are, things to do, etc. I also look forward to keeping everyone updated on our adventures here on this blog. But for now…
Aloha!
Algirdas
