Last weekend my husband and I excitedly took our son to the beach for the first time. But as I was packing our bag full of baby beach gear, I was getting frustrated in advance because I knew everything would end up covered in sand. When it came time to pack my son’s spare change of clothes I knew I had to figure out a way to keep them from getting dirty with any sand at all so I asked my husband to pass me a ziplock bag. Then I thought to myself, maybe I’ll put all of our sunscreen in a ziplock bag as well. By the third time I asked my husband for a bag, he looked at me and asked how many more I would need.

I determined from there I would use ziplocks for our food, as an easy way to carry toys, and to hold the burp cloths and wet wipes. It was the best packing method I could have come up with for our afternoon jaunt to the beaches in San Diego. And you know, none of our stuff got sand on it besides the towels and bottles of water that were not in the bags. It was easy packing and the easiest clean up I’ve ever had leaving the beach!
